Tuesday New Day

OK, 2nd in the series. Tuesday New Day.

OK, the goal for Tuesdays is “Carpe Diem” – sieze the day – but with a little twist – do something new. It’s a new day, so how are we going to make the most of it?

Here’s the exercise for today to scare the living hell out of you, but in an effort to make the point (and also from the “Where will you be five years from today?” book):

1. Get out your pencil and do the math.
2. Multiply your age x 365 days (this will give you your current age in days.)
3. Subtract that number from 27,375 days (average life span (+/-) these days – note to my Mom – I’ve always known that you were above average! And for anyone else above average, “Congratulations!”)

Your answer is the number of days you probably have left.

Scary, isn’t it!

But, here’s the cool part – since Tuesday is a new day, you get to shape it into what you want.

Ask yourself this – “When was the last time you did something for the first time?”

What are you going to reach out and grab today and make the most of?

What new thing are you going to try today? Remember, if it doesn’t work, you get another Tuesday next week (hopefully, anyway), so you can try something else new.

Who are you going to call to try to reconnect with?

What slight are you going to forgive (by yourself or others) so that you can re-establish the joy?

Life is too short to be cranky.

What new thing will you try today?
